Book excerpt: Supermodel and super-writer Lin Xun exposes "2 girls 1 cup"! Her phrase is shorthand for "Stalin and Hitler," and especially when those two hooked-up together. It is also shorthand for "Stalin and Mao" and their coupling too. There was a sick union shared by all 3 of the gangbangers: Stalin, Mao, and Hitler. They were joined by comrades in the USA. Their compatriots continue to cover up their depraved lifestyle today. Top historical discoveries of the century are revealed in this book, including: (1) Congress and the Flag Code confirm that the military salute was the origin of the Nazi salute. (2) The USA's Pledge of Allegiance inspired Nazi rituals. (3) Public schools spread Nazi behavior. (4) Swastikas represented crossed "S" letter shapes for "socialist" under Hitler. Top historical discoveries undisputed by the NEW YORK TIMES * The Washington Post * Los Angeles Times * San Francisco Chronicle * Tampa Bay Times * Chicago Tribune * Newsday * The New York Times Book Review * Tampa Tribune * Library Journal * Publishers Weekly * Saint Petersburg Times * People * Entertainment Weekly * Vogue * O: The Oprah Magazine ! They are astounding discoveries by the historian Dr. Rex Curry. To an astronomer, this would be almost like finding water on Mars. To a physician, like discovering the cure to a disease. Plus, new death of Fidel Castro bonus at no extra charge! The publisher's search continues for photographs and old film footage showing presidents, members of congress, and other officials on the federal, state, county, and city levels doing the Nazi salute to the U.S. flag. Please send any images or inquiries to the email address of the publisher mentioned in the book. A large quantity of such material is in the archives of the historian Dr. Rex Curry. Anyone who doubts that Hitler used the swastika to represent "S" letter shapes for "Socialism" is someone who believes Hitler was blind and that Hitler remained blind throughout the decades that Hitler used the symbol for his National Socialist Party. Eventually, Dr. Curry's discovery about the swastika will become so well-known and so obvious that no one will believe that Dr. Curry "made the discovery that Hitler used the swastika to represent 'S' letter shapes for 'socialism'" because no one will believe that there ever was a time when people could not recognize Dr. Curry's scholarship as self-evident. People will not believe that there ever was a time when the world did not notice the glaring truth about the differences between Hitler's symbol, swastikas, and their alterations. People of the future will not believe that people of today were so blind and ignorant. It will be Dr. Curry's revolutionary paradigm shift. The same path of doubt, dissemination, and eventual widespread acceptance will occur regarding Dr. Curry's discovery that the Pledge of Allegiance was the origin of the Nazi salute and Nazi behavior. It will be another revolutionary paradigm shift. "There is rumor of a Pulitzer Prize for exposing the Pledge of Allegiance as the origin of Nazi salutes and Nazi behavior; and the swastika as alphabetical 'S' letter shaped symbolism for 'socialist.' Hooray!" - R. Yates Bloodsworth, Stop The Pledge (STP) Foundation "The professor's work left us speechless!" - Tampa Tribune Newspaper "The symbol presently known as Lin Xun wrote a game-changer with this book." - Timothy Cruz "For all the women in the world who have been christened with 'Swastika' as their name, Dr. Curry is a hero and an international treasure. His work is a welcome revelation." - Swastika Mukher "Before these revelations, Americans could not speak the truth about the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Curry is the Rosa Parks of the pledge. He is the Ruby Bridges of the schools, having changed them forever." - No Pledge Publishing "This book will make you wonder if anything you know is true." - Dead Writers Club

Tinny explains revelations unearthed from the archival work of historian Dr. Rex Curry. “Drug Detection Dog Training – Libertarian Lawyers Fight Police State USA,” is another book by Tinny.

Book excerpt: An exploration of the modalities, affective intensities, and disturbing qualities of online pornography. Digital production tools and online networks have dramatically increased the general visibility, accessibility, and diversity of pornography. Porn can be accessed for free, anonymously, and in a seemingly endless range of niches, styles, and formats. In Carnal Resonance, Susanna Paasonen moves beyond the usual debates over the legal, political, and moral aspects of pornography to address online porn in a media historical framework, investigating its modalities, its affect, and its visceral and disturbing qualities. Countering theorizations of pornography as emotionless, affectless, detached, and cold, Paasonen addresses experiences of porn largely through the notion of affect as gut reactions, intensities of experience, bodily sensations, resonances, and ambiguous feelings. She links these investigations to considerations of methodology (ways of theorizing and analyzing online porn and affect), questions of materiality (bodies, technologies, and inscriptions), and the evolution of online pornography. Paasonen dicusses the development of online porn, focusing on the figure of the porn consumer, and considers user-generated content and amateur porn. She maps out the modality of online porn as hyperbolic, excessive, stylized, and repetitive, arguing that literal readings of the genre misunderstand its dynamics and appeal. And she analyzes viral videos and extreme and shock pornogaphy, arguing for the centrality of disgust and shame in the affective dynamics of porn. Paasonen's analysis makes clear the crucial role of media technologies—digital production tools and networked communications in particular—in the forms that porn takes, the resonances it stirs, and the experiences it makes possible.

Book excerpt: Despite the prominence of "awkwardness" as cultural buzzword and descriptor of a sub-genre of contemporary film and television comedy, it has yet to be adequately theorized in academic film and media studies. Documentary’s Awkward Turn contributes a new critical paradigm to the field by presenting an analysis of awkward moments in documentary film and other reality-based media formats. It examines difficult and disrupted encounters between social actors on the screen, between filmmaker and subject, and between film and spectator. These encounters are, of course, often inter-connected. Awkward moments occur when an established mode of representation or reception is unexpectedly challenged, stalled, or altered: when an interviewee suddenly confronts the interviewer, when a subject who had been comfortable on camera begins to feel trapped in the frame, when a film perceived as a documentary turns out to be a parodic mockumentary. This book makes visible the ways in which awkwardness connects and subtends a range of transformative textual strategies, political and ethical problematics, and modalities of spectatorship in documentary film and media from the 1970s to the present.

Book excerpt: Develops a novel characterization of the pornographic as a cultural concept. This original contribution to porn studies aims to interrogate previously untheorized changes in contemporary understandings of the pornographic. Helen Hester argues that the words “porn” and “pornographic” are currently being applied to an ever-expanding range of material and that this change in language usage reflects a wider shift in perception. She suggests that we are witnessing a seemingly paradoxical move away from sex within contemporary understandings of porn, as a range of other factors come to influence the concept. Using examples from media, literature, and culture, and discussing the rise of notions such as “torture porn” and “misery porn,” Hester’s argument ranges from sexually explicit German novels and British policy documents to a discussion of the differences between European and American editions of pornographic films. She concludes that four factors in particular—transgression, intensity, prurience, and authenticity—can be seen to influence the way that we think about porn.

Book excerpt: This book responds to a growing interest in death, dying and the dead within and beyond the field of death studies. The collection defines an understanding of ‘difficult death’ and examines the differences between death, dying and the dead, as well as exploring the ethical challenges of researching death in mediated form. The collection is attendant to the ways in which difficult deaths are imbricated in power structures both before and after they become mediatised in culture. As such, the work navigates the many political and social complexities and inequalities – what might be deemed the difficulties – of death, dying and the dead. The book seeks to expand understandings of the difficulty of death in media and culture through a wide range of chapters from different contexts focused on literature, film, television, and in online environments, as well as several chapters examining news reportage of difficult deaths.

Book excerpt: Extreme Cinema examines the highly stylized treatment of sex and violence in post-millennial transnational cinema, where the governing convention is not the narrative but the spectacle. Using profound experiments in form and composition, including jarring editing, extreme close-ups, visual disorientation and sounds that straddle the boundary between non-diegetic and diegetic registers, this mode of cinema dwells instead on the exhibition of intense violence and an acute intimacy with the sexual body. Interrogating works such as Wetlands and A Serbian Film, as well as the sub-culture of YouTube 'reaction videos', Aaron Michael Kerner and Jonathan L. Knapp demonstrate the way content and form combine in extreme cinema to affectively manipulate the viewing body.

Book excerpt: After the “digital turn,” expansion of sexual representations has taken shape quantitatively(thanks to the multiplication of production and distribution channels) and qualitatively (giving riseto a plurality of new representational forms). In this context, several social groups – including women and non-normative sexual subcultures – have obtained full citizenship rights within the “pornosphere,” moving beyond their traditional marginalization or, indeed, exclusion. These “nonconventional” pornographies exist in a dialectical relationship with mainstream production in so far as they are at the same time a development and a repudiation of the latter (on an aesthetic, economic and political level). This volume investigates the emergences of alternative pornographies, highlighting theirdiscursive heterogeneity, their cultural status and connections to identities and non-normativepractices, and their role in redefining the very idea of pornography. The publication maps the main areas relating to alternative pornographies, such as alt porn, queer pornography, indie porn, post porn, feminist pornography, and amateur porn. With a foreword by Feona Attwood

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book considers the ways in which Muslims view the way they are being viewed, not viewed, or incorrectly viewed, by the West. The book underscores a certain “will-to-visibility” whereby Muslims/ Arabs wish just to be “seen” and to be marked as fellow human beings. The author relates the failure to achieve this visibility to a state of desperation that inextricably and symmetrically ties visibility to violence. When Syrian and Palestinian refugees recently started refusing to be photographed, they clearly ushered the eventual but inevitable collapse of the image and its final futility. The photograph has been completely emptied of its last remaining possibility of signification. The book attempts to engage with questions about the ways in which images are perceived within cross cultural contexts. Why and how do people from different cultural backgrounds view the same image in opposing ways; why do cartoon, photographs, and videos become both the cause and target of bloody political violence – as witnessed recently by the deadly attacks against Charlie Hebdo in France and in the swift military response by the US, Jordan, France, and others to videotaped violence by ISIS.

Book excerpt: The United States is obsessed with virginity - from the media to schools to government agencies. This panic is ensuring that young women's ability to be moral agents is absolutely dependent on their sexuality. Jessica Valenti, executive editor of Feministing.com and author of Full Frontal Feminism and Yes Means Yes, addresses this poignant issue in her latest book, The Purity Myth. Valenti argues that the country's intense focus on chastity is extremely damaging to young women. Through in depth analysis of cultural stereotypes and media messages, Valenti reveals that powerful messages - ranging from abstinence curriculum to ''Girls Gone Wild'' commercials - place a young woman's worth entirely on her sexuality. Morals are therefore linked purely to sexual behavior, as opposed to values like honesty, kindness, and altruism. Valenti approaches the topic head-on, shedding light on chastity in a historical context, abstinence-only education, pornography, and public punishments for those who dare to have sex, among other critical issues. She also offers solutions that pave the way for a future without a damaging emphasis on virginity, including a call to rethink male sexuality and reframing the idea of ''losing it.'' With Valenti's usual balance of intelligence and wit, The Purity Myth presents a powerful and revolutionary argument that girls and women, even in this day and age, are overly valued for their sexuality, and that this needs to stop.

She exposes Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro, and more. They prove that a mind is a terrible thing. Her horrible discoveries include: (1) Congress and the Flag Code confirm that the military salute was the origin of the Nazi salute. (2) The USA's Pledge of Allegiance inspired Nazi rituals. (3) Public schools spread Nazi behavior. (4) Swastikas represented crossed "S" letter shapes for "socialist" under Hitler. They are eye-popping revelations that are undisputed by the New York Times * The Washington Post * Los Angeles Times * San Francisco Chronicle * Tampa Bay Times * Chicago Tribune * Newsday * The New York Times Book Review * Tampa Tribune * Library Journal * Publishers Weekly * Saint Petersburg Times * History Journal * Scholar's Weekly * Vogue * O: The Oprah Magazine! Because she speaks truth to power with her ground-breaking revelations, Lin Xun has been subjected to harassment (including risque images of her posted on the internet). She doesn't care! In this book, Lin spanks history's bottom, leaving red hand prints. Hop in Lin's pink Cadillac and take a ride to the land inside of your mind. Nazi salutes and Nazi behavior originated from the USA's Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, created by Francis Bellamy, an American socialist. The Nazi salute was performed by public officials in the USA from 1892 through 1942. What happened to old photographs and films of the American Nazi salute performed by federal, state, county, and local officials inside the USA? Those photos and films are rare because people don't want to know the truth about the government's past. Public officials in the USA who preceded the German socialist (Hitler) and the Italian socialist (Mussolini) were sources for the stiff-armed salute (and robotic chanting) in those countries and other foreign countries. The "ancient Roman salute" myth originated from the city of Rome in the state of New York (not Italy), Francis Bellamy's hometown. Later, Mussolini presented a strange gift to the city of Rome, NY: a statue of two human male infants suckling on a female wolf. That statue remains on display in Rome, NY. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts helped spread the Nazi salute and the swastika to Germany and elsewhere. Swastikas were used to represent crossed "S"-letters under Adolf Hitler's National Socialist German Workers Party. The author Lin Xun searches for old photos and film footage of the early Pledge of Allegiance showing the origin of the USA's notorious stiff-armed salute. Many of those artifacts have been found among Dr. Rex Curry's historical archival work. Curry's discoveries are changing the history books. Please send any images or inquiries to the email address of the publisher mentioned in the book. Each book is personally handled, wrapped, and mailed by Lin Xun IN THE NUDE! Or by the publisher, depending on who's available. A tape might exist of Lin Xun doing something in an elevator, though exactly where that somewhere is and what that something might be, no one in media can say. That's because no one in media seems to have seen the tape -or is even confident it exists. "There is rumor of a Pulitzer Prize for exposing the Pledge of Allegiance as the origin of Nazi salutes and Nazi behavior; and the swastika as alphabetical 'S' letter shaped symbolism for 'socialist.' Surviving by adapting to technological and cultural shifts and popular trends, found footage horror is a successful and surprisingly complex experiment in blurring the lines between quotidian reality and horror's dark and tantalizing fantasies. Found Footage Horror Films explores the subgenre's stylistic, historical and thematic development. It examines the diverse prehistory beyond Man Bites Dog (1992) and Cannibal Holocaust (1980), paying attention to the safety films of the 1960s, the snuff-fictions of the 1970s, and to television reality horror hoaxes and mockumentaries during the 1980s and 1990s in particular. It underscores the importance of The Blair Witch Project (1999) and Paranormal Activity (2007), and considers YouTube's popular rise in sparking the subgenre's recent renaissance.
